About me
"I am loyal and hardworking."
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated person, with impeccable integrity. I have been sailing since I was a child and have worked many years in the yachting industry.
I spent the majority of my career onboard one vessel, MSY/MY Islander, a 58m private and commercial yacht. On MY Islander, I worked my way up from Deckhand to Bosun to OOW to Chief Officer to Captain. The vessel sold and I left after a ten-day hand over period to the new owners. I joined a new 46m motor yacht in 2014 and had two busy summer seasons with the owners cruising in Turkey, Montenegro, Croatia, and Greece before I left so that I could start the immigration process of becoming an American citizenship, which required me to be physically present in the United States. During my sabbatical from the yachting industry, I obtained a general contractor's license and started and grew my own construction business to include four full time employees. I also used this time to personally cruise new areas. I returned to yachting in 2021 as a rotational captain aboard a very busy charter and private 46.9m motor yacht.

My goal

My goal as Captain is to make yachting enjoyable and exciting for the owner and their family, friends, and guests.
I accomplish this goal by understanding the owner's and guests' expectations and surpassing them.
I am extremely professional. I have developed excellent management, administrative, and accounting skills. I will ensure the yacht is run smoothly by using these skills to operate the vessel safely and efficiently.
I have worked hard to develop a strong style of leadership that inspires loyalty, motivation, and performance excellence in my crew. This shows itself in the low rate of crew turnover that I have maintained and in happy and hardworking crew, which makes for a top notch owner and guest experience.
I have sailed extensively throughout the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Caribbean, and the East Coast of the United States, and crossed the Atlantic many times. I have also sailed personally in Tahiti, Thailand, and the Whitsundays in Australia. I am familiar with many good areas that offer owners and guests a unique experience onboard.
